I proprietari persone straordinarie e straordinariamente disponibili, gentili, affabili ,amichevoli e care , degli amici speciali ! Il posto bello, curato, funzionale , confortevole , di buon gusto, amichevole con attenzione e professionalità . Tutto curato e seguito con competenza , passione , interesse . Camere comode e dotate di ogni confort , finiture di qualità, viste incantevoli in ogni stanza , coccole di ogni genere , assistenza per ogni cosa- cura tutorale ,discreta e amorevole di Francesca, e suggerimenti preziosi di Francesco per itinerari , degustazioni , ricerche sulla territorio e conoscenza della regione , unica per varietà e bellezza .
Una coppia fantastica con rara attitudine all ‘ospitalità . Abbiamo trascorso tre settimane fantastiche e ci sembravano poche ! Il posto offre ogni sorta di confort . Erna e Christian preziosi e amorevoli per la colazione e l’assistenza continua .
La “nostra magione “ è un posto raro e speciale , bello , facilmente raggiungibile , a un passo da mete architettoniche, artistiche , naturalistiche , straordinarie .

This was our second visit to La Nostra Magione – and I can only re-confirm each and every word of my former review of this lovely establishment. This is definitely a hidden gem perfect for the travelers, who seek authenticity, tranquility yet few minutes from a pulsing beach town and not the least: A view to die for! You are met with a warm welcome and do feel at home in a split second. My best recommendations!||Montepagano is the perfect base for sightseeing and excursions in Abruzzo as in no time you can be lazying on a beautiful sandy beach; be exploring little medieval villages; drive, bike or hike through rolling hills covered with wine stocks and olive groves - and in less than an hour you can wind through harsh barren highlands of The Gran Sasso National Park where wild horses are roaming and snow at the surrounding peaks tempt skiers at winter time. There is a bit for everyone! In my former review I mentioned a couple of lovely outing options – and this time I’ll like to introduce you to a few others, that we did thoroughly enjoy this time. ||We spent 5 nights in Montepagano switching between beach days in Roseto, drives into the lovely country side and hanging out at the local bar in the town square. And no, 5 nights are not at all too long – we would have enjoyed to stay even longer. |One of our most lovely outings took us to the socalled “Costa Trabocci” – commencing at the village of Ortona a bit South of Pescara running for about 10 km along the coast boasting the one to the next awesome little historic fishing establishment located on stilts in the water and once used for fishing instead of boats and today in general turned into little lovely restaurants. They are “trabocci” hence the name of this coastal stretch. A previous train track serves as a combined hiking/biking path running at the very edge and we can highly recommend to rent a bike and do the entire stretch stopping to ponder at these awesome structures, enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea or get a bit further inland to visit some of the old villages, monasteries etc. en route. The path is flat as a pancake and hence easy to bike - and renting an electric bike makes it a piece of cake. An absolute stunning and awesome experience. By car you can continue on to the town of Vasto, which is truly lovely and worth a stroll along the high lying promenade. We did our excursion outbound along the coastal roads and returned in no time by the freeway. ||A “must” is likewise an outing to the Gran Sasso National Park offering yet an unexpected and awesome kind of landscape – namely grassy highland surrounded by barren and snowcapped mountains reaching up to 3000 meters. This area is often referred to as “Little Tibet” – it makes sense! Bring a warm coat/sweater as it gets truly cold there! This time we drove up to one of the highest locations – Campo Imperatore – which serves as a ski-sport center in winter time. In no way a pretty resort as you find them in Austria and Switzerland – but a barren plateau from which you can awe at the nearby peaks and glaciers and stop for a local snack from one of the kiosk-vans that park here. Time permitting you should continue on across the highland to the high located white village of Castel del Monte – a lovely medieval village with many historic buildings and a stunning view. If you enjoy hiking you will likewise find countless trails in the area. There are many ways to return to Montepagano either zig-zagging through more mountains or winding through lovely meadows and farm land. Don’t miss a day or two in this lovely National Park – and please read my first review for other suggestions.||Finally, I should like to pass on a little dining secret as well. Albeit Montepagano these days offer two local restaurants as well as a Michelin one – well, don’t miss out of the nearby “Gusto & Degusto” that specializes in meats and serves the most delicious food ever. And it fills with locals in no time. The best meal on our entire trip in Italy. It is located half way down the hillside between Montepagano and Roseto and you need a GPS for the first visit – but don’t miss out of meal here – plus the view from same is very delightful too!||Kind regards – Kirsten Langer aka PURPLE
