Esperienza fantastica! Il b&b è situato a soli 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione (5 minuti in macchina) ed è vicino ai vari punti di interesse della città. La stanza è stata una meravigliosa scoperta: grande, pulita, comoda e bellissima. La stessa cosa si può dire degli spazi comuni che sono arredati con altrettanto gusto, sicuramente un luogo in cui alloggiare a Civitavecchia!

Bellissima e moderna struttura, posizione davvero centrale comodissima per chi va in crociera. Molto pulita e staff efficiente. La consiglio a chi vuole soggiornare a Civitavecchia.

Posizione eccellente, a due passi dal porto e dal centro. Il locale è completamente ristrutturato e pulitissimo. A disposizione avevamo caffè e the in quantità, comodissimo anche il servizio acqua depurata liscia e frizzante direttamente dal rubinetto della cucina. Torneremo sicuramente

Siamo stati una notte con la mia ragazza, posizione centralissima e ambiente molto accogliente. Dalla nostra camera potevamo ammirare una bellissima vista sul mare. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole prendere la nave.

We got into Civitavecchia by train and walked from our track to the train station. There were lots of taxi drivers sitting around and one was provided and she quoted a rate of 20€ to take us to the guest house. That was a rip off since the last time we were here, the fare was $6 to take us to the cruise port and the guest house is closer to the train station yet but what are you going to do?

When we got to the guest house, you have to push the button to unlock the door on the street. It was evening when we arrived so, inside the foyer, it was dark and watch that first step that drops down about 3 inches. There is a light switch on the wall to the left of the door with writing that we couldn't read but we pushed it and the lights came on. A motion sensor light would have been a better choice.

Shortly after we got there, my phone rang and the owner of the guest house was calling to see if we were ok or not. I replied, no, we don't know how to get to the room and he said did you get the message and I said I got about half a dozen messages but not how to get into the room. There were messages about taking a picture of my passport with me in it and filling out all kinds of forms. In fact, there were many emails, including ones I then asked where's the elevator and he said there isn't one. Apparently, when they renovated this place, installing an elevator was not part of the renovation plan. So if I didn't have phone service, I'm not sure how he would have called. He then offered to come and assist getting our bags to the room and get inside the door. I accepted his offer. 10 minutes later, a young man with a crew cut in his early 30s showed up, presumably on a scooter or motorcycle as he had a helmet.

Did I mention that the rooms (of which there are 3 in the facility) are all on the second floor with a very nice common area? Btw, the street level is not the first floor, rather, it's level 0. The first floor is above that and floor 2 is above that. There were 52 steps to get to the floor with the rooms. Thankfully, he assisted getting our bags up to the second floor, which in my mind was really the third floor. He produced a card key, not sure where he got it from, and unlocked the door to the guest house. That same card key was used to open our guest room. You then had to insert that card key into a card reader slot on the wall to enable the lights and AC in the room.

The room was spacious with a queen bed and a bunk bed assembly nearby for the kiddos, I presume. It was just the 2 of us. The bathroom was around the corner. The room was clean and simply appointed with all the necessary items. Night stands, luggage rack, closet, etc. The TV was a pleasure as it was connected to his personal account so we could watch free movies and Amazon Prime shows too. The WiFi was quick and worked well, speed test showed 33 megs download and 45 megs upload. The bathroom had a nice shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The handle on one of the shower doors was wonky and loose but didn't affect taking a shower. The water was strong and warned up nicely after about 30 seconds.

Bed time was an experience. The bed appeared to be nice but upon inspection, the mattress felt like a box spring. I was expecting a cushiony soft and cozy bed but that's not what was offered. The bottom sheet was certainly not Egyptian 500 count thread, rather it was thread bare and almost translucent. The top sheet was about the same and the comforter on top was nice and plush. Sleeping was akin to those medieval beds of nails, not really! But it was very firm and my partner complained that she was sore from sleeping on the bed, in the morning. The pillows were memory foam pillows that were less than forgiving when you laying your head down. Out of a 5 point scale, I would take off 1 point for no elevator, 1 point for the difficulty to get into the room, and 1 point for the rack of nails on the bed so I'm at 2 points. I think this was a nice place to stay but I won't be coming back.
